Rustic home decoration

The rustic style of decoration is inspired by the beauty of the wild nature. In recent years it is a must trend and is especially preferred in new modern houses. Provides the necessary element for an interesting contrast throughout the modern mold.

When we hear about 'rustic' our mind immediately goes to heavy dark furniture and textures and raw materials. The truth is that this is the basis and so you start to "build" the style of the house.

In reality, however, I do not think there is anyone who can withstand this image on the entire surface of his house!

So do not be intimidated by the idea and see some secrets to take off your home!

There are many ways to soften the otherwise wild rustic style and harmoniously combine the furniture with your colors and decorations. Its textures and earthy colors give warmth and harmony that no other style can deliver! Reading, you will discover that it is a very economical and easy way to renew your favorite room or the whole home.

Have you dreamed of renovating your home with a Rustic effect?

I will start with the most basic element, which is none other than the color of the wall. Our walls cover the largest surface in our house and I call it a 'zero' element as they are the primary factor we take into account when starting to give our home it's style!

The rustic style features dark walls and creations from raw wood.

If you choose to darken the walls, then emphasize with lighter furniture and decoration objects!

If, on the other hand, you choose dark heavy furniture and fabrics, then invest in lighter colored walls!

Prefer to give more intensity either to the walls or to the furniture and decorations. NΟΤ in both together!

White is always a safe choice, but it is not the only solution to a rustic effect.

Try to combine your heavy furniture with a light green or a sweet yellow color on the walls! It will illuminate your space even more!

The black elements with small surface and furniture in the color of earth wood, define the absolute contrast in a modern house!

A brown sofa evokes rustic decoration!

This approach is my favorite !! The combination of dark gray wall with white armchairs and wooden furniture transports into a magical forest!

The chandelier in the center of the living room creates a unique element of contrast to the rest of the heavy environment, makes the final result more modern and leaves room for luxury to express !!!

Prefer a transparent chandelier so as not to affect the rustic element and not to make it excessive!

I have long associated the rustic style of the house with images of traditional village houses with brick fireplaces, bright patterns on the sofas, brightly colored curtains and a very warm atmosphere.

Brick as a material has now entered most homes. Some choose a single wallpaper in a room and others highlight the whole house with it. What is certain is that it exudes warmth and decorates beautifully in an alternative way.

Another effect for the success of rustic decoration is the open shelves and bookshelves.

Wooden bookcases with obvious decorative elements and a collection of books perfectly decorate your living room and office!

Below are some pictures of rooms that I have loved:

And of course I could not miss the rustic Christmas decoration!

So simple and so beautiful!!
